The park is on both sides of the river. Bike trails follow the river. There is a windmill and a Japanese Garden. The museum is filled with bizarre things like a mummy and an alligator. There are picnic tables and grills available.

It may not have been the best time to come here in the Fall. It looked like the place needed to be cleaned and bushes and trees may have needed some 'pruning'. What was amazing was the fact that those trees are over a hundred...More

An incredible place of history and beauty. Marvel at a Frank Lloyd Wright house. The interior is very surprising. The Japanese Garden is a beauty to behold. All of this is situated on the beautiful Fox River. My husband and I love to bike ride...More

This farmhouse was renovated by Frank Lloyd Wright for a wealthy couple who had an estate on the Fox River. The grounds are great --bike trails right along the river -- and the backstory on the original owners (truly characters) is fun and interesting. The...More

This is a lovely spot. Don't miss it for landscaping, Japanese cultural trends, various structures, such as 2 arched bridges, and tea house. I love this place!

Kane County Forest Preserves has done a very nice job of making the Fabyan Forest Preserve much more than just another green space. Check carefully when these specific sites are open to visit. The Japanese Garden is a delightful mini-version of larger ones like the...More

We absolutely love the Japanese gardens. Tranquil and beautiful. Love being able to walk though. Not the best hours so we tend to miss when it's open frequently but well worth the wait when we finally got in

Due to limited days and hours these gardens were closed but from past experience the volunteers who maintain these gardens helped to create an Inviting and magical place to walk - for ages young and old. Will definitely come back for another visit very soon.

The Forest Preserve is 235 acres. That's the best I can do. Try calling the Geneva Parks Dept. Maybe they can help.

According to MapQuest it's 0.81 miles. It might be a nice walk if the weather is good or it certainly wouldn't cost much to take a cab. I hope that helps!
