Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The antique mall was laid out well. A lot of glass display cases with collections. Not a lot of large furniture pieces were for sale but it was still fun to look around and see the antiques in this small Midwest town.

This historic building on Main Street (at Seminary Street) has the first two floor filled with antiques. It is generally a fairly neat, tidy place as an antique store. Some parts have narrow aisles, but one can get around easily. There are usually several people around that you can ask for help. (Don't come at ten minutes before closing. Many workers will have already gone home and the few left need to leave to go back to their families. This is a big place and you will need an hour or two if you want to view all the antiques.)
Most of the third floor is filled with History of Galesburg exhibits. Sadly, many exhibits are about the big businesses that no longer are in Galesburg.

I love visiting antique shops. This place was very interesting. Huge three story building. Lots of cool stuff. Lot of history in that building. Very clean. Prices are hit and miss. I thought prices for the most part were reasonable or average. Some items were really overpriced but that’s kinda typical for an antique shop.

I seldom review stores, but this is an exception. If you are into antiques, it is definitely a "must see," and you might consider it a destination store. If you just in Galesburg for other things, even if you are not really into antiques it is worth a (free) visit. Lots of rooms to explore makes it even more of a treasure hunt.

The historical museum on the third floor is nice, but lacks signage to help understand the significance of some of the items.

Just one suggestion - don't bring the kids unless it is just to see the museum - a lot of breakable stuff on tables, and narrow aisles in some spots.

If you are really into antiques, this is probably the best place left in town to shop. They have a very large selection of items at generally pretty good prices. They have no interest, however, in buying any antiques. - so keep that in mind if you are cleaning out your basement/attic.

So fun to look back on the past. The mall has lots of interesting things. I could walk around for hours and explore all floors. Take your time and browse through the past.

Nice three story building in downtown Galesburg. All three floors have stalls with many articles from depression glass to old furniture. Overall the prices were okay and the place was clean. Third floor has a museum located on it. By itself not worth a day trip but when combined with a tour of Knox College's "Old Main" debate site and gallery and a visit to Carl Sandburg's birthplace; you have a nice day trip to Galesburg.

Actually, NO stars... worst customer service ever! My friend and I made a special trip from Peoria IL to visit the Galesburg Antiques Mall, not realizing that practically the whole town shuts down at 5PM. Long story short, we walked in the door to be greeted by the cashier, never bothering to look up from what she was doing, "You have 10 minutes!" Then, before we could even take two more steps, another employee walks by and says, "Now you have 9 minutes." We were aware of the time limit when we saw the sign on the door before going in and didn't plan to disrupt their routine, but we had driven quite a distance and thought we'd just pop in to see the place anyway. Needless to say, we won't ever be back thanks to the actions of two selfish, discourteous employees who managed to leave a very bad taste in our mouths!

This old building is just fabulous in itself, and it was a pleasure to walk through all the rooms. Quite a large selection of things from furniture to crystal and old toys. Some antiques, some Depression and mid-century, some modern stuff. Friendly and accommodating staff. Third floor has one room occupied by the Galesburg Historical Society.
