Beautiful restored light house. Stunning views of Lake Michigan. Enjoyed the video and tour. The ground are beautiful. The vacant mansion next door is equally fascinating, though the folks in the lighthouse would say little about its history.

We had been in Evanston for the conference. Beside attending their we visited places nearby. We like this place because of the clean sandy beside and trees around the lighthouse!

Had two teens with me who were impressed with the property, the rocks, the beach but the water was cold!! It was a very hot day so it felt nice. Was not crowded at all on this very hot day.

Getting up inside of this lighthouse has been on my bucket list for years! Today, it was sadly closed, so it remains in my bucket. Still, I appreciated the grounds and the unoccupied house next door.

Nothing really to see. The area is very run down. We were very disappointed. Not sure the reason for the condition but could be a cool place to visit.

Very accessible light house right off the road. Landscaping is beautifully maintained by the local garden club, and worth the visit even you have no interest in lighthouses. Have done the trip up to the top in a previous visit, and like all lighthouses it...More

The lighthouse is worth stopping and looking at. You park in a large parking area and can walk down to the beach to enjoy the lake. It's also by a small park.

Yes, there is $5 fee when we visited. It's only open on Sat./Sun. 2-3-4pm. The lighthouse cannot take more than 6 people up there. I am not sure it is still open after September, you need you call to ask. But you can always... More
