After a day on I-70 you have to get out, stretch your legs and clear your mind before checking into your hotel. We found these trails fit the bill. The trails are wide, paved and gently rolling as they ramble down through the forest to the course of the Little Wabash. We encountered several runners. NOTE: the location is near... More

We walked two hours on these paved trails in late September 2016 on our way to hiking the five Utah national parks. These trails are very hard to find, but worth the effort. They are completely paved and principally designed for bicyclists, but it still made for a very pleasant two hours. We walked between 2 and 4 in the... More

Excellent and beautiful. From the water to the bridges and the switchback. A variety to see and many hills for a challenge. It's great for hiking and bicycling. All seasons offer a great adventure and you can walk different sections or all of them. Several places to park and enter.

If you happen to stop in Effingham IL at the intersection of I-70 and I-57, be sure to get your walk in on the TREK trail. It's a very nice trail through fields and wooded areas. Cross the Little Wabash River and enjoy the scenery. Access is just west of the Firefly Grill and Starbucks.or near the Calico entrance off... More

We had some time to kill while stopping over in Effingham. We decided to take a walk. Although this park was a little hard to find, it was well worth it. It is very close to exit 160 off I57 . There is no signage, but from the parking at the Effingham Performance Center you go towards Evergreen St. turn... More

Good for people who like to get out. Bike or walk from different access points. Beautiful scenery (and cute dogs).

It is a beautiful trail. It is wide and paved and easily negotiated. The entrance on West Evergreen needs to be better marked but all of the other trails heads have plenty of parking and posted maps of the trails.

My family loves going for a walk or a bike ride on those trails! It is THE place to relax, get some fresh air and/or work out!

When you go search address for performance center. Park in the lot. A sidewalk takes you along trees and you cross the street Evergreen. Turn right and a few steps left you'll see the path. All paved. Canopy beautiful mature trees. Wear good walking shoes. Lots of hills going up and down. Butterflies

We tried to go here while in effingham but it is not marked and very hard to find. We gave up and went and saw the cross and went to a winery instead. After talking to locals we were in the right spot but the tiny parking lot at the trail head says no parking. You need to park at... More
