awesome (easy) hiking route and very nice view on what originally was a tragedy when th dam broke and a village was drowned.....
Our lokal host from AirBnb told us about the place and walked with us. It took maybe an hour to get there, then we chilled on the top and made photos and went back. Absolutely worth it and I would love to do it again.

Very beautiful and historical site located in Val di Scalve valley.
You can drive till Pianezza, where there is a small parking before the path will start, but you can also park on the road.
From the main square of Pianezza the path till Gleno dam it will take approx 1h/1h 10m; the first 30/40 minutes is a quite steep climb, with a combination of stairs and rocks climb after that the way will clear up to a flat terrain and in within 30min you'll reach the dam.
There is a beautiful lake inside the dam valley, you can find a bar where you can enjoy a fresh sandwich l, if you didn't pack food with you, for very reasonable price (3,50 euro);
Be aware that there are snakes in the region, vipers especially, So mind your steps!
The history behind the dam is a bit sad, caused a lot of dead people, but is really interesting to know and understand what the past has to show us.
Super recommend it!
