I have fished and hiked this park for many years. I got to go to the new education building while taking the Master Naturalist class through the U of I. A great facility. We were studying aquatic life in the river there. Found many species...More

This park is huge and very well kept. There are ponds for fishing and a river you can access. It's a good place for a run, for a walk, or just hanging out. There's also a unique little re-created village there to walk through including...More

It's hard to believe this is only a county park! There are so many wonderful trails to explore. Plus the Bunker Hill Historic Village is a treasure in itself.

Great for easy nature hiking or walking, Beautiful venue for weddings, showers, parties, photograhy. Poor cell service. Many fun events throughout the year,

We always enjoy visiting with family for reunions. They have such a quaint village area created from actual historical buildings. I think it is very important to preserve these types of buildings and allow the youth to learn about local history.

I didn't even see a playground. It looked like a field of dead grass with a small, mossy pond. It felt like we drove forever and saw nothing.

We haven't been here in years so it was a fun drive thru on a cold winter day. They have a lovely new education building, the ice and snow made it lovely but we didn't see any wildlife. Once it warms up we'll be back.

Caught 8 fish kayaking. Seen 2 eagles and 10 ospreys and 3 blue herrings. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining. A peaceful and relaxing day. I would recommend this park for everyone.

Plenty of attractions to peak your interest from the old restored buildings like the Neff Grocery ,barber shop and the Red Oak school. The one room school which I attended as a kid shows the nostalgia of the past as does the grocery. Other buildings...More

You must go to the office and put your name in. They have a list and if the date you request is open fine. Make the payment. If not then they will call if it becomes open
