It’s like taking a step back in time - pure genius, innovation, and HISTORY. If you like old architecture, and a taste of the past - check out this 1850’s neighborhood in modern Chicago! The tour is hidden gem in this grand city.

The Pullman Neighborhood is a real stroll through history of that time. We met several very helpful neighbors on our walk that were more than happy to tell us about their accomplishments saving Pullman. There is a self-guided map that helps you find your way...More

Went to annual open house tour in October. It was fantastic. Got to tour many houses, some privately owned, as well as executive home. Tour guides knowledge. Visited museum as well. This is a national historic site worth visiting.

I highly recommend reading up on this attraction, or taking a tour with one of the site park rangers or volunteer docents. This place has an amazing story to tell. George Pullman revolutionized train travel by introducing a comfortable “palace car.” He developed the town...More

We are National Park buffs. Our trip to Chicago wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Pullman. We took Uber from downtown and the cost was about $25 each way. We went first to the visitor's center and watched the film on Pullman. It...More

What an amazing addition to the National Park System -- with the wonderful historic building and the fascinating stories behind them, Pullman National Monument is a must-visit historic site. Hopefully adequate money will be appropriated to renovate and restore these amazing buildings!
