If I ever had to live outside of the downtown area this would be my first choice. Great neighborhood. Eclectic and people are super friendly.

I really enjoyed roaming around Wicker Park when I visited Chicago. It has definitely got a hipster vibe; seems to have been a so-so area that has benefitted from gentrification. There are great thrift shops and interesting places to eat. Best part: it's only a...More

We stayed in this area while visiting Chicago. I was nice, easy to reach by subway and nice to walk through. Don't miss the Walgreens store by Damen station with the vault inside and the new bike/ walking trail built on the old train rails.
