If you're looking for a Chicago walking tour that is fun, inspiring and inexpensive, you are looking at the right place!

I'm Margaret, 10-year veteran tour guide, comedian and your personal insider to this awesome city. My 20-year improv experience guarantees that you will get a tour that is entertaining, full of awesome stories and info and not your average scripted recitation. I work hard to make sure my facts are spot on and I promise you I've never given the same tour twice, each group has it's own personality. I keep my groups small and my ideas BIG. Check out my site for more tours and let me know if you have any questions about your trip to Chicago! (Oooh, you can do a private tour too! Just ask!)

The Chicago elevated rail system leaves most others for dead for ease of ticketing & use. Very intuitive, clean & with friendly staff. A great way of getting around a large, spread out city very quickly. Some of the views into suburban life are outstanding.

Margaret and her insane knowledge of Chicago history added such a special element to our experience- we adored it and never looked at the buildings the same after! We did the pedway tour but it was a nice day and she took us outside to talk about various buildings and monuments. It was highly enjoyable and the time flew by... More

A friend and I did a tour of the Pedway back in February when I was visiting for the weekend. Magaret was really fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the Pedway, which made for a fantastic tour. Every corner we took would bring a new quirky feature to light and Magaret had anecdotes for them all. It's a strange place, and... More

My son and I went on the Binoculars Tour with Margaret. (I had to mark "friends" when it asks, "What sort of visit was this?" because "Family - two adults" isn't an option.) What a fun, interesting time! Margaret has so much knowledge, and her enthusiasm is contagious. I've lived in the Chicago area my whole life, and I can't... More

I arranged for a group to do the Chicago Mix tour - 1/2 Pedway, 1/2 outside for the architecture. Of course, it POURED all day!! Margaret made sure we didn't go away disappointed, though. She just extended the Pedway tour and we explored places I hadn't seen before (this was my fourth or 5th? tour with Margaret). She was very... More

Wife and I booked private tour to get a feel for the architecture and history of Chicago. Margaret is funny, very knowledgeable and a wealth of information about Chicago. Her insight into the why’s (why the buildings are this way, why the windows are that way) is informative without being dry and boring.

Enjoyable tour about the bizarre history of The Pedway. You never know what you will see in rhe Pedway. Margaret knows all the history and dishes on all the dirt.

My son & I were on the mix tour: partly pedway, partly above ground. Margaret is sparky and personable, with lots of great stories and info about the area, the architecture, the people and quirks of Chicago. She was ready to adapt the tour to the customers, the weather, bathroom needs, and to give recommendations. She even gave her info... More

This was a great tour! A nice mix of Chicago Pedway and Millennium Park. We've been to the city many times over the years and like to take the occasional tour to learn more about the city and to find new places to visit. Margaret was fantastic!! Trip highlights a portion of the Pedway and then a walk through Millenium... More

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
