Loved It
Oct 2021
What a beautiful place. Hadn't been there for 19 years. We sat at the far end by the water for awhile. Was simply a great place to relax and watch the boats on the water. Definitely a place I would love to go back to. Parking here and in the other garages around like at The Bean, are very pricy.

Just do It

There is always something to see and a trip to Chicago doesn't quite seem complete without a visit to the Navy Pier. You may spend more time there than you realize. Take your camera for the views are gorgeous. Shops, restaurants and more.

Prepare to spend the day at Navy Pier
Oct 2021
I have been here numerous times and it is always a great time. There is so much to see and many great places to eat and drink I find myself here for the better part of the day every time. The city skyline view from here is breathtaking and looking out on Lake Michigan is just fabulous. Best of all it is free to walk around, lay in the sun and just enjoy the view!

Beautiful views!
Oct 2021
Amazing views! We have been here before and always stop by when we are in town. Excellent place to walk, take in views, take photos. A little disappointed that the stores did not open when google says they will. We could see workers inside but no one was opening the gates. One shop was open and when we asked why others weren't open we were told "they may open around 11 or so." The restaurant was not open which was unfortunate. Because there was not much open we did not stay long. But worth the long walk over there just to take in the scenary.

Always something to see at Navy Pier

We don't get here often. There is a new hotel at the very end. We walked through on the inside then back on the outside.

Nice Walking on a Sunny Day
Sep 2021
Nice to walk around in Navy Pier on a sunny day. I liked the reflections from windows. Enjoyed buying souvenirs. They also recommend eating ice cream.

Fun place to visit!
Sep 2021 • Couples
Very nice place to walk around. I wish we had gone back so that we could enjoy more of it. Lots of pretty flowers and beautiful views, they were all decorated for Halloween by the end of September. We went on the centennial wheel which I thought was a bit expensive but it is tourist area so we expected that. It was $18.95 and it went around three times. It provided great views of the area.

Go later in the day

The NavyPier is beautiful for a leisurely stroll in the fall. Located by the lake, the circular walk around the pier is pleasant. Inside the restaurants and shops are limited and nothing opens before 11:00. Be sure to see the atrium with numerous flora and fauna.

Lovely walk
Sep 2021 • Couples
I love walking along the pier. The cool sea breeze and the sunshine. Watching the sea gulls and boats. It’s so relaxing. And there are deck chairs and seating where you can rest your feet. Beautiful colorful flowers and the cool architecture. The rides if that’s what you like - carousel, Ferris wheel, drop tower, tea cups, climbing wall, swings and other games. You can rent bicycles - single rider or more than one. They have guided tours or you can bike on your own. Or maybe book a cruise or speedboat tour. From Memorial Day to Labor Day on Wednesday and Saturday nights, there are fireworks which you can enjoy.
Lots of shops selling handmade items and art, souvenirs and restaurants to eat at. Outdoor and indoor locations. You can watch sports at a lot of the places. Drink stands at intervals. The decor is Halloween right now and I loved the pumpkins, stagecoach and mummies. We didn’t walk indoors because the day was nice and we enjoyed being outside. It’s not that far of a walk from downtown Chicago and we enjoyed the exercise. This is a favorite activity of mine. I recommend it.
