I wouldn't go out of my way for this but, if you happen to be walking by Millennium Park and there isn't too much of a crowd, you can enjoy taking weird photos of yourself in the highly reflective surface. I was able to take a selfie with my husband in the background taking a selfie of his reflection. That's... More

Somehow this stainless steel kidney bean is magical! What Anish Kapoor has done is really clever as Cloud Gate reflects the Chicago skyline - making the whole experience magical. At night, the city scape can be seen reflecting on the its surface - I guess if it were in a field somewhere it might not be so mesmerising. But it... More

Traveled here with my soccer team. Had a great time. Beautiful place to see! Make sure to go under the bean as you will see something you never thought would happen! 💯

Chicago's famous THE BEAN! Amazing place and with lots of people! A must for all the travelers! The skyline is wonderful seeing through the reflection of the bean.

Really cool to visit this attraction. We went at a really busy time (3 or 4 pm on a weekday). Would recommend going at a less busy time for better pictures (people are reflected in all my pictures).

The best bean of all the beans - LoL. Come early if you want the Bean for yourself as it gets crowded. We came in around 730a for a morning walk from our hotel (Kimpton) and by 8am, everyone's there :))). It's also great to come back at night.

I travelled to Chicago last week. It was just amazing! We had some snow, which looked great on "The Bean". We visited the Millenium park during the week, so it wasn't that overfilled with people. People there, people here, people everywhere. So in the end I can simply say that I can highly recommend this awesome neatless sculpture. Go there,... More

Spectacular metal sculpture sure to fire children's and adult's imagination. Near Michigan Avenue, restaurants and spectacular architecture.

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
