When in Chicago you need to see THE BEAN also known as The Cloud Gate. The reflections are amazing. See Chicago in a whole new way. If you are lucky enough you will even get to hear a music group serenade you under the bean. Bring your camera.

This tourist attraction is on every top 10 list of things to see in Chicago and is quite unique. A few parents and myself had nine 17 year olds in tow and they had a blast at this public sculpture. For those who don't know, Cloud Gate is a bean shaped sculpture that measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet... More

I went here on the recommendation of a friend and it was worth the trip. I would come back with the family for the experience.

This is a great piece of art and so shiny and clean. Coming from Europe we were up early, which is perfect, because there are hardly people around and you can take the perfect picture. It is located in a great park.

Another must see if visiting Chicago. Loved it, even though people are always around it you can capture your own great pictures. This is a must see during the day and night also.

The whole park is great and of course, the cloud gate, also called the bean is something that you just have to see! (There's always a lot of people though)

Nothing says Chicago like this park and so of course we had to do a photo. Great area to hang out and get breakfast near by too. We loved it.

This is a nice work in itself. You do get to see the greatest city skyline in the world (as a Hong Kong resident from Cheeseland, it pains me to say that) reflected in the work. Then you get to have fun taking selfies of your reflections with the buildings. Meanwhile, your kids can run around with moderate supervision. A... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
