There are many bridges over the Chicago river and this one is imposing. Good photo opportunities from the bridge back to the city. It's free.

Part of the essence of the town as you walk up and down Michigan Avenue. Boat tours are active and fun in the summer.

This was the most beautiful part of the city in my opinion. When you turn around and see the skyline in front of you and behind you and the Trump tower on your right, you'll want to take some pictures.

It’s freezing and snowing so to my mind it’s best to be indoors. Luckily the new Apple store is completely glass and has a perfect view over the river and Michigan Bridge. What more could you want?

This historic bridge is perfect for viewing the Chicago River. A monument to Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable (the founder of Chicago) is there for your review.

There are plenty of mass transit ways to get there as well as an Uber. Also plenty to do shopping experience wise and dining.

I'd use public transportation to get downtown instead of trying to drive and park downtown. And there is too much traffic to really see anything while you're driving.
