Very pretty and well taken care of theater, a great place to go with family. One of my new favorite places to bring the kids. Would much rather spend my money here than a big time box office theater.

The Virginia Theatre has been beautifully renovated so if you haven't been in a long while you will be pleasantly surprised! Comfortable seating, beer and wine service provided by Farren's in the lobby for some events and great staff!

We have attended quite a few concerts at the Virginia theater through the years. And attended the Roger Evert Festival. The acoustics are fabulous but the lack of leg room( especially in the balcony where I prefer to sit because I am short)even I have limited leg room and it's tighter for my 6'2" husband. That said....we will continue to... More

Love this theater. Had tickets reserved at will-call. They were there and seating was excellent. Show was great. The organist played and when finished the riser came down and the play began. Acoustics were great. Lighting was perfect. House lights came up during intermission. Bathrooms were clean. Concession stand was hopping. People looked happy. I will look for other performances... Went there as a treat for my birthday with our cousins. We watched Casablanca. Before the movie a gentleman played a 750-pipe Wurlitzer organ. He found out it was my birthday and played Happy birthday for me and the entire theater sang to me. It was inexpensive and fun.

A beautiful facility, nicely maintained with a wide variety of performances. While view lines are good, seat rows are tight for those with longer legs. Still for central Illinois, a great location to see a show.

We are senior citizens. We have been to the Virginia Theatre for 2 performances recently. The first time we had seats downstairs on the side. The seats were roomy with adequate leg room. The second time our seats were upstairs. The seats were crowded and your knees were in contact with the seat in front of you. I love the... More

Went to see an old Cary Grant movie here this summer, and it was such an enjoyable experience. Honestly, it turned out to be the highlight of my family's stay in Champaign-Urbana. Such a beautiful theater with tons of amazing offerings throughout the year. You must check it out if you're in the area.

The Virginia is a beautiful historic theater with a ton of different programming throughout the year. Movies to musicals to comedy and more, for all ages. We always have a fun time!

This is one Champaign-Urbana's jewels! This theater has been restored and still has the unique character and beautiful architecture. The seats are roomy and comfortable and there isn't a seat in the house that doesn't provide a great view of the stage. This is where the Roger Ebert Festival is held every Spring. It is in downtown Champaign, so offers... More
