Hometown ski hill!

Great ski hill and very family friendly. The free ski school program has been in place for decades and is still amazing. Good food and relaxing bar.

I did not intend to ski at Lookout, after taking in the likes of Whitefish. But the fates intervened. I-90 was closed westbound at the Pass due to a jack-knifed truck, so I ended up sleeping at a cute motel in Saltese (Mangold's) just down the road. Next morning as I was sweeping 6 inches of snow off the car,... More

Lookout Pass Ski Resort, is one of THE oldest ski resorts in the country. VERY family friendly, with free ski lessons for you kiddos, and great powder in the winter. Only six miles from Mullan on East Bound I90. 4 chair lifts, several degrees of slopes, and a good place for all you snowboarders out there. Sorry, no tube spots,... More

This is something everyone needs to experience. It's not a hard ride. Be sure to have plenty of "good light" and a jacket and nibbles along the way. The first tunnel is really dark, cold and wet....but fun!! There is historical markers along the way to learn more about the trail and a shuttle to bring you back up. Yes,... More

Having skied numerous times in Colorado this is such a refreshing experience. It is easy to park, the lines are short for the chair lifts and the prices are good. The snow has been great this year and it is an easy drive to the mountain. The town of Wallace is close by which has some good restaurants for after... More

While living in the northwest for 30 yrs, I decided I'd like to experience one of north Idaho's gems, a The Hiawatha Trail. It's 15 miles of groomed old Milwaukee railroad bed. It has a 1.6 percent downhill grade and 9 tunnels and 7 tressels . The labor day weekend happens to land on my birthday this yr so I... More

We booked online and they were all ready for us! We did the whole shebang - rented bikes and they provided the bike carrier for our Jeep, bought trail passes and shuttle passes. Couldn't have been easier - they load and unload the bikes for you, give you maps and directions. Really, really fun day!!

Great ski hill. Easy drive from Spokane. The skiing is challenging but the crowd isn't trendy! Nice lodge with a great selection of micro brews.
