Silver strand is a gorgeous beach accessible by about one million steps! Not for the faint hearted, but worth the effort.

Wonderful place!

Irish beaches are amazing. Where else would you be able to enjoy white sand and watch sheep grazing nearby? Great cliffs make excellent scenery.

One of the best in Donegal

Donegal has some amazing beaches, I particularly like this beach. There are a large number of steps, thus access is limited. Although the views can be enjoyed from the car park.

Truly a Hidden gem ++++

Having heard of this beautiful beach, we ensured to visit following our trip to Slieve League. This horseshoe shaped beach is an amazing beach .. it’s worth the drive and also the climb down the 200 steps.

Day Trip

On a day trip to Glencolmchille I discovered this beach and it is absolutely stunning. If you had a picnic or walking it is perfect there is a cafe and shop nearby and they were selling Irish Coffee the day I visited.

Shhh... keep it a secret 😉

This beach has to be one of Ireland’s finest. Horseshoe shaped at the end of the majestic Slieve League cliffs it has to be seen to be believed.

There is a hostel within 2minutes walk - Malinbeg Hostel. Another self catering accommodation at Aras glencolmcille. Plenty of b&bs & some airbnb properties nearby too.
