As an avid skier during a great ski season at Schweitzer, I was excited to take the opportunity to gain a first experience in the back-country and Selkirk Powder did not disappoint. We had great conditions and James was a really patient guide who tailored the day to an appropriate level and skier interest. My only recommendation would be to... More

What an awesome day we had LATE IN MARCH on Schweitzer's backside! These guys handle everything from safety education and mountain expectations, to choice of runs and lunch/snack provisions. This was a rebooked trip from last year (when there was no snow). The snow was cold powder. We had fresh tracks every run! Tree skiing and chutes were the terrain.... More

We had our first snow cat experience with Selkirk Powder Company and could not have been more pleased. The guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the 4000+ acres of the Schweitzer backcountry and were willing to accommodate skiers and riders of all levels. We met a great group of skiers and riders from diverse backgrounds, and it was wonderful getting... More

I'm a snowmobile enthusiast, the guides were awesome and helpful (and funny). The terrain was amazing and snow conditions perfect. Would do again.

Guides are very nice, patient and encouraging. I did not feel pressured even though I am very slow and fall a lot. Conditions were excellent; not under the company's control, I know, but they enabled us to take full advantage of them.

Friday Feb 5th was my third time there and I have always had great skiing. Great terrain, uncut powder and no lift lines. Plus the lunches are getting better.

We had another 'best day ever' with the team up at Selkirk over the MLK holiday weekend! The day began with the anticipation of fresh cold leftovers from a storm that had dumped just shy of 2 feet on the area that week. We started our big day with a debrief on safety procedures, transceiver instructions and a meeting with... More

After skiing with Selkirk Powder Company a few times I knew I had to get some of my ski buddies involved. I called a few that were avid skiers and we made a plan. We had everything, Fat Skis, Over-sized Poles, Boot Warmers, Hand Warmers, Energy Drinks, a Good Ol' SRL Camera and the Desire to Shred. The only thing... More

When the snow is good this back country experience is awesome. We have been knee deep in fresh powder on a good day. If the snow is not great a snowmobile tour is the next best way to experience the back country of the Selkirk Mountains.
