So much more terrain than expected, the backside on a pow day is to die for! Try and plan your trip around snow because I have heard that icy days are common. With fresh snow the place is like heaven.

Great snow coverage. All employees were friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back! Fog and wind at the top made for low visibility. Relatively no lift lines and short rides.

A friend's family has a condo here so we planned a couples trip. I was the only beginner while the rest of our party are advanced skiers. The staff were excellent. The rentals were in great condition. The lines were short. The snow was good....More

We have been going to Schweitzer for years and it never fails to disappoint. Early season conditions in many ways this holiday season but some recent snow made for excellent riding. Lots of packed and loose powder and some nice soft moguls to shred! I...More

This is a wonderful place to ski, snowboard or just take pictures. The lodge is great for getting warm and having some hot chocolate.

A weekend trip from Spokane! The snow was amazing! The rental shop was busy but the gear was awesome! Loved my burger in the ChimneyRock and my noodle bowl up at the SkyHouse! Access is a challenge but if on a budget, stay in Sandpoint...More

Stayed at a Beautiful cabin at Schweitzer ski resort complete with fireplace and hot tub. Grill, covered car port, wine welcome package, and full kitchen too. So much to do. Loved watching the fireworks from our hot tub.

The mountain has a good variety of runs so those on lower levels can still enjoy their runs all day long even if they are not comfortable going to the medium or advanced runs (FYI there is a lower mountain lift ticket so if you...More

This is my favorite mountain. This is where I learned to board over 20 years ago and I don't feel like I need to go anywhere else. So many trails and pit stops! Easy drive up, easy parking lot. Fun had by all every time!

If you don't mind driving down into town there are many choices from Trinity fine dining to Ickarts bar with flavor. There's a good Thai restaurant Thai nigiri, foods good but ambiance is lacking. Stop for a beer at... More

Is there a reasonably priced shuttle service from the Spokane Airport to Schweitzer? I'm finding shuttles for $250 one way - too expensive. Would prefer not to rent a car, but that may be the most reasonably priced option.

Question: Are lift lines reasonable at Schweitzer during the week between Christmas and New Year's? (In the past we went to Whistler in mid-February but due to kids' school schedules we will have to go between Christmas & New Year's for the 16/17 season and I'm looking for a ski area that will have manageable crowds during that week.) Thank you so much!! Chris Flaat Redmond, WA
