A friend of mine and I dropped by to walk around the lake after the gym. It was a lovely walk that was flat! That was really nice! We live in an area that is quite hilly and it was a nice change of pace. There is a lot of birds (many black swans!) to keep it interesting as well.... More

I don't know why it took me so long to visit this lake when I live nearby (although I just moved here). This lake is beautiful and I can see why it's popular with walkers on the weekend. It has a great walking track around the outside of the lake with neatly constant views of the lake. Great to visit... More

A decent long walk with plenty of wildlife and some great views of the city skyline. Watch out for snakes though, saw a couple last time.

The reserve's proximity to Leederville makes it perfect for a pre-brunch power walk or sunset stroll. There are also restrooms, a playground, at least three water fountains and a few parking areas. Most of the paths seem accessible too, so there's no excuse not to get your inner-city nature fix!

This is a must see for tourists. Walk around the lake and take photos of the swans and ducks. See if you can spot a stray tortoise. A couple of good lookouts around the lake. Lots of trees and a couple of play equipment areas for children. Terrific place for a bbq or picnic. Want some exercise? then this pace... More

I regularly go for a walk around Lake Monger. The walkways are well maintained. An enjoyable place to be in the evenings

The view is beautiful and nice walk way and places to sit. A good family place to spend the day or have picnics. The flip side is people dirty the place with trash and dog poo in spite of bags and bin are provided in the park

Mid-morning walk with a friend. Highlights: - good short circuit for a jog, run or walk - a couple of public amenities for that urgent stop - scattered play equipment for kids - plenty of picnic spots - some shade on circuit although i would recommend covering up in summer - close enough to Leederville cafes and food places if... A very pleasant walking track around an extremely picturesque lake. Very safe and family friendly. Good parking but ensure your vehicle is locked.
