Undeveloped and pristine sand and sea on Caribbean side of Bequia so very calm. The snorkelling on the reef which is literally at the waters edge is good with so many fish in a small area. Brilliant for beginners or nervous swimmers. De Reef was...More

We came on a cruise ship and took ourselves off along Princess Margaret beach and over the headland to Lower Bay beach. We succeeded in finding a quiet beach away from the hoards of blue towels from our cruise ship ! It is the typical...More

I should say that almost all the major beaches in Bequia are beautiful. I visited here though on a very busy day over the Easter weekend. It's a pretty long beach with a small rock formation near the middle of the beach which allowed young...More

I walked across from Princess Margaret Beach - just a short hike over the headland and downhill walk to the beach. There were no public changing facilities but a few beachfront restaurants & bars. There were two swings hanging from trees across the beach. At...More

Unbelievable beach with very few people. The sand is perfect, the beach is long, the water is amazing - go to the far right side of the beach for some good snorkelling.

Lower bay beach was just below our hotel, kept very clean and excellent for swimming. Most days other than weekends practically empty. It's possible to walk to Port Elizabeth from Lower bay, just ask a local for directions. Lower bay has a few beach restaurants and...More

Very good beach for swimming and less busy than some. A bit less commercial than Princess Margaret as there are no restaurants or bars here. Very quiet.

White sand, turquoise waters make this beach feel like you are in Paradise. Lunch can be had on the deck overlooking the beach. The ocean is picturesque with the sailboats anchored there. Certainly a place to visit.

You can walk-hike to this beach. Make sure to be in runners or hiking shoes. Not as pretty as Princess Margaret beach however it does have a local vibe. The locals hang out / Lime here listening to music and while bbq-ing in the parking....More

We stayed at the north end of Lower Bay Beach for 2 weeks in early December. We walked to/from Port Elizabeth at least a dozen times. It is a lovely walk along the beach ... no need to climb up high to the main road... More
