We took a 3 day weekend to check out lava hot springs. We thought it would be a wonderful relaxing experience. We had no idea there would be so many people there. It wasn’t relaxing in the least bit. It’s too over commercialized for us....More

A great respite from cold winter! Pools of varying heat, lots of seating in pools, allowed to bring in non-glass flasks. Lots of big families with vans full of little kids though, so not as relaxing as many hot springs.More

We walked across the street from our motel room to the hot pools. The different pools were really nice and relaxing, especially the pool that was 112 degrees - felt much hotter than that. We also liked the fact there were 2 jacuzzi type whirlpools....More

This place is awesome. Stopped on a recommendation from a friend. Close to the interstate and easy to get to. It was very clean and perhaps because it's not high season, not crowded at all. We shared it with maybe 10 others. Several different pools...More

Both the KOA and Mary's Place campgrounds are walking distance from the hot pools. Both seem small, quiet and beautiful.
