We had a wonderful time enjoying the hot pools with our Family in Nov. 16, but our overnight stay at the City Center KOA was marred by the nearby trains and their HORNS which went on and on about every 30 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. GO - by all means and enjoy the place, but if you choose to stay... More

I really liked that the facilities are clean. Some hot pools I've been to were a bit on the nasty side but these guys keep everything clean.

Wonderful hot pools, very clean. Buy the day pass so you can just keep going back. We went early in the day and it was less crowded. Went for a drive and dinner and went back in the evening. Quite crowded then but everyone is just relaxing on the side so there was plenty of room and with 5 pools... More

We'll be honest, this is the main reason people visit Lava Hot Springs! If you show up on the weekends--even during the off season (November-May) it'll be relatively busy. But it's still nice, the hot pools vary in temperature the further you get from the source of the spring. During the summer it might be nice to split your time... More

The facility is clean and well laid out. The staff is friendly. The pools are varied - you can lounge in a moderately hot pool or make your way to the hottest pool ever!

We go to the hot pools every time we can. The mineral water is hot and soothing. It's a very relaxing experience. Pools start from the least hot to the very hot. Setting is pleasing and the occasional passing train adds to the western flavor. We typically stay about an hour. During the summer months our grandchildren prefer the water... More

Is an awesome place to come and relax and soak in hot mineral water! It has several different pools at different temperatures (however the temperatures are not marked very well) One pool has to be 120° while other pools were around 101 degrees. They also allowed children very young children to be in the hot water this is very dangerous... More

We visited on a busy Saturday night so it was packed but we found a quiet corner and relaxed in the hot water and chatted. The water felt clean and the price was reasonable. What a great way to unwind on our long drive home.

Last visit was 15 years ago. Nice to see a place better than ever after so many years. Husband and I were traveling home from Oregon to Texas and cut through Idaho and stopped at Lava Hot Springs. Our bodies needed it after so many days traveling. We decided we are going to come this way again just to be... More

4 people in our group ended up getting sick after being in the water. I thought it could have been food poising but we didn't eat together that day or evening. I think it is actually a really cool place to visit and everything was great until 3:00 a.m that next morning. now, I kind of am hesitant of anything"... More

Ryan B, Sorry to hear that anyone is sick. However, I always caution people who believe they have contracted a communicable disease anywhere to contact the local health department. In our area, it is the Southeast District Health Department (208) 233-9080. They are trained to track down the source of an outbreak. This is the first report we have received... More
