The Museum of Idaho is the intermountain west's premier museum in providing nationally and internationally acclaimed exhibits to the surrounding areas. Showcasing both traveling and permanent exhibits, we are dedicated to preserving and educating the public in the sciences, the humanities, and the natural and cultural history.

Handcrafted by Italian artisans, this exhibition contains more than 30 interactive models that integrate science and history. Guests will be encouraged to explore the innovative machines that continue to influence the technologies of today.

The Museum of Idaho, the city of Idaho Falls, and the Interfaith Council are proud to announce the 10th annual Olde Fashioned Christmas and Winter Festivals presented by Chesbro Music Co. We feature a new addition each year along with your traditional favorites including nativity scenes from around the world, a collection of Santa Claus figurines, gingerbread houses, beautifully decorated trees, and also a celebration of other winter festivals. Check our website for a list of featured live music throughout the exhibition.

I would have given this museum five stars, but was disappointed that no photography is allowed. I understand that photography can damage certain pieces of art, but it seems that most museums allow this now, at least without flash. Also I did not really see the correlation between this being a Museum of Idaho and a museum of the United... More

Special exhibit on the American Revolution with items from private collectors. Very well curated and had items appealing to all ages. Also had exhibit rooms on local history.

This is a small stand alone museum in downtown Idaho Falls. It is run primarily by doners, sponsors, and volunteers. They have nationwide traveling exhibits, plus a permanent exhibit of Idaho and area history. Prices are reasonable, and cover both exhibits.

The traveling exhibits presented here are excellent!!! Staff is informative and children are welcomed!!! They have great permanent interactive exhibits!

Love the Museum of Idaho! They have traveling exhibits so every time we visit they have something new. Exhibits that you would see in large cities right here in Idaho Falls!! All for a little change and no crowds. A must when staying in Idaho Falls anytime of the year!!

Our family recently went to the "Digging up the Past" exhibit at the Museum of Idaho. It was a great experience for the kids and I had fun also learning more about dinosaurs and seeing the fossils. The Museum of Idaho was a delight to visit. I went with my wife who is expecting our second girl, and my daughter who is almost two years old. I love coming to the Museum of Idaho! They always have great exhibits like Bodies and the dinosaur named Sue. I always loved coming here when I was a kid.
