The best summer activity in Boise! Rent a raft or kayak from the County's concessionaire at Barber Park (or bring your own) and spend an afternoon floating the Boise River. Inexpensive shuttle service is available back from the take out point at Ann Morrison Park, around 7 miles downstream.

Right on the green belt, on the river for pedestrians and bicyclists; a beautiful park; great for river rafting access; picnicking; large play areas for kids

If you are in need of a facility for a wedding, birthday, reunion or business event, check out the Event Center at Barber Park- the indoor/outdoor facility is gorgeous. And the venue comes with tables and chairs, PA, sound equipment, kitchen and lots of parking. Dollar for dollar, this is the very best deal in town for a wedding, hands... More

I started floating the Boise River 40 years ago, back then there was nothing. Today there is Barber Park. Barber Park is a great place to park your vehicle and relax before you float the river. Back in the old days you had to bring your own float tube or what ever, now you rent them at Barber Park.when your... More

This is a very fun relaxing way to spend a hot day in Boise. As stated before, you can rent a raft or bring your own float device. They rent tubes, single kayaks, four person rafts and six person rafts. I recommend a raft as the water is pretty cold and if your butt is in it for two hours... More

I took a taxi from airport to Barber Park for about $25. I rented a tube for $12. They will need an ID and Credit Card as deposit for the tube. You can then float downriver Boise to Kathryn Albertson Park.

Barber Park river rafting is the best activity to do in the summer. The river is beautiful and clean, and rafting or kayaking is relaxing and invigorating. One can either rent a raft or bring your own floating device. It is a very inexpensive way to spend 3 hours floating the Boise river.

My friends took me rafting on the Boise River. I'd been going there for over 30 years, but we never got around to it. It was amazing - would like to do it again. We took the $3 bus from the raft rental location in Barber Park upstream to the drop off point, and spent several hours rafting back down... More

We had a 9 yr, 7 yr and 3 yr old with us. We got there at 9:30am and there were only 3 other groups in line. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions. Parking is $5 on all days except Fri and Sat which are $6. The water only had minor rapids. Our 3 yr old only got... More

We got stuck in Boise for four days on our trip traveling around the country. We ran across this place and went down the river four separate times, 3 times on raft and one in tubes. Turned out to be the kids favorite part of a three week vacation around the country. This is an absolute must for anybody traveling... More
