This could be a side trip if you're on the Boise River Greenbelt or a destination trip. It is a 4.6 acre site run by the Idaho Fish and Game. We did not have a chance to go into the Visitor Center, but we did the "stream walk," which is open from sunrise to sunset. This walk takes you around... More

I have taken my grandchildren here many times in the past. It is a great place for families to go for an outing. It is more of a summer activity but, depending on mild weather any time of the year works.

This was a real gem to visit. Lot of birds too at watching window and fish viewing areas as well. We also saw several deer. Nice educational spots too. A nice quick visit worth a few hours.

I'm sure this is beautiful when everything is blooming. I still enjoyed walking the paths to see the fish viewing areas (some large fish swimming in the creek to be viewed), beaver pond, and a small waterfall. It is 4-1/2 acres right in the middle of Boise along the river.

This is a wonderful place to learn and actually feel like you're in the middle of it all. Deer and other wildlife roam free all around. Beautiful to see.

This is a great free mini zoo so to speak. My kids have always loved it! It has a beautiful pathway with stops to look at fish through windows swimming in the Boise River. Really fun!

What a nice little retreat right in downtown Boise. A good place for a walk or to see the exhibits. My favorite is the huge deep beaver pond full of enormous rainbow trout and a couple of sturgeon too. And it's free but give them a donation.

The indoor section was limited and my 3, 7 and 9 yr old were done with it in about 15 minutes. The outdoor area really intrigued them especially about the salmon (and other native fish) and their habitats. They spent about 45 minutes outside. The place is free but requests donations. It was a nice place for the kids to... More

Our children (12, 10, 7, 5) love coming to the nature center every time we visit Boise. We've seen deer every time we've come. The trails and bridges are well maintained and we love seeing all the big fish. The visitor center has interactive things in it for the kids. And to top it all off, it's FREE.
