River flooded earlier this spring but most is clear now. Head east to discover parks and the nature center. 200 pound sturgeons swimming in the riverside pond ( free of charge -)

This was a beautiful, long, meandering trail mostly along the river ... but much of it was closed due to high water. Although most people seemed to ignore the closure signs. We talked to a local who said it was closed since April and that...More

Took a bike ride on the path. Very pretty, level. Warning signs for flooding but only saw it in one area.

Offering lovely views and waterside areas to sit and relax, read a book or just enjoy the day. The Greenbelt is a fun place to bike or to take the kids for a walk.

The river was at a 30 year high, but the greenbelt was still navigable in most spots ... it was very enjoyable.

The Treasure Valley - Boise and its environs - is fortunate enough to have a river, the Boise, running the length of it. With a foresight rare in today's World, Boise chose to line the riverfront with parks, rather than industry. There is a bike...More

Walking or bike riding. Followes the Boise River and passes through a number of very nice parks and restaurants. One if Boise's secret treats.

The greenbelt offers lots of places to relax. I was working so didn't get much of an opportunity to use it. Nice place, enjoy.

We're coming in from the SE on I-84 from Utah. Where we access the greenbelt for walking if we'll be staying in SE part of Boise? Thanks for the help

I suggest taking the Broadway or Vista exit and head towards downtown. You will see Boise State University and the green belt is on the other side of the river behind the University. That is the easiest landmark to help you... More

Are the paths in the greenbelt all-access (ADA compliant) and can electric scooters be rented for folks with mobility challenges? I'd like to take my 89 yr old dad for a "stroll" along the greenbelt, but he's challenged by inclines, stairs, or just plain walking any distance (double knee replacement surgeries 10 yrs ago). If scooters are available to rent, can they be reserved/paid for in advance?

It is accessible in the area I was. As far as renting a scooter I am personally not aware of places you can rent scooters but that does not mean it does not exist.
