While we decided to go to the Alpaca Farm for our grandson (age 12), the entire family loved the visit even his 14 year old sister. The owner was very gracious and spent a lot of time telling us about the Alpacas and their role in raising them. I strongly recommend as a 1/2 day trip for families. Warning - the land is steep and rough and not for the handicapped. They have wonderful small gifts made from Alpaca fur. I am not sure if they normally charge a fee because this was a weekend when many artisans and farms were open to the public.

So nice. The host was informative and the animals were fascinating. Not easy to find, but worth the trip. Llamas are gentle, shy and graceful. Relatex to camels.

We stopped by unannounced and the owner graciously stopped her work and spent time educating us about the alpacas and letting us pet them. They are very dusty with red Georgia clay - FYI.

I was visiting relatives that live in Young Harris, GA and came across this wonderful farm online. The owners are amazing! Joey and Deirdre were so kind to spend so much of their time sharing their Alpacas with my family. I know my 91 year old grandmother won't soon forget her time there! The farm is a bit off the main road, but their driveway is paved and the barn and pastures are located right next to were you park. Be sure to bring your camera for personal pics with the beautiful alpacas and some form of money to buy something special from their gift store featuring items made from what other than alpaca fleece. Probably helpful to the owners if you call ahead to check on schedule.

What a great place! We got to meet alpacas up close, they're so soft! Bought several things in their little shop. The owner was so kind and we learned a lot about taking care of alpacas.
