Little Waterfall Right Off the Road No Hiking Required
Oct 2020
While visiting Blairsville, GA, we were out exploring waterfalls and decided to find Cupid Falls in Young Harris, GA.
We set Google maps and was a little thrown off by driving through a college campus. Nonetheless, Google took us to a little park area. We saw the falls on the drive up, but it wasn't what we were expecting. Nothing overly impressive as far as waterfalls are concerned, they cascade about 10-15 feet down into a gorge.
Initially we were not sure on where to go, if the falls we spotted from the road were actually Cupid Falls, as there are no signs, so we decided to take the boardwalk through the woods and swamp. Once at the end of the wooded boardwalk we had no idea were to go or if we should follow the trail. Since the trails were not marked with signage, we decided to turn around and follow the boardwalk back to the parking area and walk to the falls on the opposite end of the park. Before continuing on, one of our kiddos needed to use the bathroom - let me just say, find a tree and do your business there because the public toilets were disgusting! Whoever manages this area needs to do a better job!
Finally, after a short walk to the top of Cupid Falls, my girls decided to walk on a old rock wall near the top of the falls. Be very careful exploring the area because my teenager stepped on the last rock overhang and the rock shifted with her on it - it would be catastrophic for someone to step on the rock and it fall with them.
We spotted a trail that leads to the bottom of the falls, but we chose to forgo hiking to the bottom for fear of snakes in the overgrowth.
This cute park has swings and picnic tables, nasty public toilets, a boardwalk that leads to somewhere or nowhere, I'm not sure; it has a lot of potential though.
The plus - it was very quite, a great place just to go and be in nature and listen to the sound of the falls without having to hike.
Would love to know the history of the area, was there a mill at the falls at one time, etc.? Signage for historical purposes would be awesome.

Nice Walk on Mostly Boardwalk - Small Falls
Jul 2020
NIce walk on mostly boardwalk through the woods and some swampy area. Falls are actually on the other side of the parking lot next to the picnic areas. This isn't easy to find - the address takes you on the other side of the park. Luckily, we asked some people how to find it, and once we found the trail, we were lucky that someone told us where the falls were, or we wouldn't have found them. Nice small falls.

Cheesy Fall
Jul 2020
This is kind of a cheesy falls. The bathroom was nasty as heck. I think the person ate at Taco Bell and blew the bathroom up. The falls was like small. The park and picnic area was clean and nice.

Quiet And Peaceful Park
Nov 2019 • Couples
My wife and I visited this very quiet and peaceful park on Saturday. Located less than a mile from the college it is a great place to go for a quiet walk and enjoy the solitude. Boardwalks take you over marshes and through the woods (Trail is dog friendly). Walking path is level and paved. Do what we did and carry a picnic lunch and enjoy it at one of the tables by the falls. The falls are relatively small (about 15 feet) but nice none the less. We enjoyed our time here. Parking close by; Paved lot and it’s free; No restroom facilities.

Sweet little falls
Jun 2019 • Family
Made a short walk from our family reunion to visit Cupid Falls in Young Harris. It was a nice, quiet little spot. The kids enjoyed walking in the creek. The falls are small, but very pretty. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Refreshing waterfall!
Sep 2018 • Couples
Stopped by on a day trip, so glad we did! Beautiful restful small waterfall and nice easy flat path to hike in the wooded area! Nice boardwalk in area, cute little bridges over marsh like spaces! Got several neat pictures and enjoyed sitting in picnic area and on the swings provided! Definitely a place worth finding to spend an hour, walk your dog or enjoy a picnic! Only drawback no restroom.

Easy access falls for those with limited mobility.
Sep 2018 • Couples
Cupid Falls in Young Harris, Georgia, is very nice. It has easy access for those of us over age 60 who deal with limited mobility. The falls are beautiful and the sound of the rushing water is very relaxing. There is no fee to park nearby and it is not crowded. This is a perfect place to take lots of pictures and enjoy nature at its finest.
