Walking trails with historical landmarks to look at. Animals to see. Nice pond with giant fish to look at. All of that is free. There is also gold panning, train, and museum for a fee.

This place is the jewel (or gold nugget) of Villa Rica. Fun for kids of all ages. Super informative and we'll maintained. It gets better and better every year. They have lots of events throughout the year. I can't say enough good things about it.

We took my nieces and nephews here and it's a inexpensive way to get them out of the house. They rode the train, panned for jewels, saw the fish, and feed the animals. Totally a neat little place to have fun with the younger kiddos!

The museum was okay, but panning for gold and gems was a lot of fun. The train ride was a relaxing scenic view of buildings seen on the hike.

From panning for gems to riding the scenic railroad there are a number of activities to fill your day. The museum is small but full of info. The short film covering the gold rush is informative as well. The staff is friendly too.

Lots of local history. We enjoyed it very much. Got a little exercise and learned how gold was mined here.

A modest museum with mini-film, and a mini-train ride (sized for kids). Friendly staff and reasonable prices
