Everything was in Walking or Biking distance...so relaxing and fun. Would recommend getting Groceries before you get to your Condo as the IGA is limited but great thing about IGA is that you can call and preorder some things to have when you get there.

Recently returned from a long weekend on Tybee Island. I was fortunate to have a rental home directly on the beach at the north end of the island. The beach was a wonderful surprise. The sand was clean and soft. There were tons of seashells...More

My wife and I were expecting more from Tybee... the public beach is nice, but was pretty crowded. The boardwalk, shops, and restaurants were not very nice at all. It does have a nice pier to walk out on though. Guess we were just expecting...More

We took a side trip here from Savannah. Unfortunately, the day was extremely windy, making it difficult to walk on the beach. Blowing sand did not enhance our experience. The beach looked nice-flat, Sandy, lots of sea oats. We just picked the wrong day.

I’m a gulf kinda girl so the sand is not nearly as fine white sugar as the gulf. It’s more brown and course. I would go back to Tybee again it’s a beautiful place and the people are so friendly. I was amazed at watching...More

The beach is clean and peaceful with plenty of room to relax and play. Cute shops and restaurants as well. Had a great time on a dolphin cruise and saw both lighthouses and the fort. My only complaint is the lack of beach/bathroom showers. I...More

It was about a 30 minute drive from Savannah to get to Tybee, and it was well worth it. The beach itself was lovely, parking was easy (though Uber is less frequent), and there were concessions for drinks for the adults and ice cream for...More

We love sitting in our chairs, with our umbrellas, from the DeSoto. What a lovely place! The sunsets are a must see!

Without a lot of expertise in the area, we've found some success in two ways: (1) when the waves break at the shoreline, there is often some shells that get thrown up; and (2) when we dig at the shoreline, as we use a 2ft... More

There are not showers at each beach entrance. We entered the beach a couple of miles from the marine center (in a more residential area) and there were no showers. I believe the closer you get to the marine center the better... More
