Since 1993, the St. Simons Trolley Company has conducted the original and definitive tour of St. Simons Island. Exuding Southern charm, Bunny, a genuine Southern Belle and direct descendant of Pocohontas, provides a hilariously funny, yet well informed narrative of life in the Old South. Kevin the King adds his own twist to the stories of southern heritage and is actually funnier than Bunny. With either one, you're guaranteed a professional and highly interesting tour.

Tour beautiful St. Simons Island on the oldest and most acclaimed tour on the island. This is the original historical trolley tour, operating for 23 years in nostalgic, vintage 1930's wooden trolleys. The drive-by tour includes 36 points of interest including the highlight of the tour, a WALKING TOUR OF CHRIST CHURCH CHURCHYARD at historic Christ Church (except Mondays). Other sites include the Lighthouse, one of only three working lighthouses in Georgia; Bloody Marsh, site of the famous 1742 battle where the fate of the Southern Colonies was decided; Fort Frederica, the colonial town and fort settled by General James Edward Oglethorpe; and Retreat Plantation, where relics from the slavery era still exist.

We speak SOUTHERN! The St. Simons Trolley tour is one of the most acclaimed in the South.

To enjoy the island in true southern fashion, join us on the St. Simons Trolley.

You will truly enjoy the entertaining and informative narrative of 400 years of island history and folklore as you ride along in the newly refurbished, original, vintage Green Trolley. We also point out the best places to eat, shop, and play. It's the perfect way to see and experience island life, while getting a good overview of the entire island.

We did this tour as an alternative to shopping on Black Friday. What a great tour. The guide was very informative about the entire island. The weather and the views were terrific. The tour around the church ground was a pleasant surprise.

I booked a tour for my husband and me online the night before the scheduled tour. Paid with credit card. We arrived at the designated pickup spot at least 20 minutes early. We waited, and waited, and waited. There were also two other people waiting for the trolley...a local resident and her guest. Finally the local resident called the number... More

We enjoyed our trip around the island learning much history about the island_ the Wesleys and the Methodist church, the lighthouse. Our group of 10 hs friends had all read the Eugenia P book, The Lighthouse.

Great time, very knowledgable and entertaining trip. We toured the entire island and got a lot of history about various places. Even took a pit stop for pictures at the old church. A great way to see and learn about the island. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my experience on Island Trolley Tours. Kevin was my driver and he provided a fun narrative while explaining the history and special points of interest on St. Simons Island. I enjoyed the stop at Christ Church. Kevin took us back to view the cemetery there and provided a lot of interesting details about the gravesites and the... More

Barbara was wonderful infusing history and little hometown story telling. She was engaging, knowledgeable and kept us wanting to learn more well after the tour was over. I highly recommend Barbara as your guide to enjoy the highlights of the island.

There are two trolley companies that take tourists around the island with the tours lasting 1 1/2 to 2 hours. One trolley is open to the outside, which is nice if you want to take pictures. The other is glassed in. The island has many historic points of interest which are pointed out and explained. The guide had a good... More

We really enjoyed this trolley tour. It started around 11am and we were back at the pier around 12:30. The tour guide, Bunny, was a wealth of information on the historical sites along with the many recommendations of where to eat etc. I would recommend this tour to any new comer like ourselves. Keep up the good tours Bunny.

Tropical storm Julia and I hit SSI on the same day. When we got on the way it just started to rain. At some points during the tour there were downpours. Even with the windows up, there was a lot of water coming inside the trolley. It was a good thing that there were few people on the tour, one... More
