It's a muddy river and the copperheads make you think twice about spending too much time along its banks.

Today my friend and I walked approximately right miles on the Roswell Riverside Trail. We started at Don White under the 400 Bridge. From there we went to the other half of Don White where they have volleyball nets and outdoor gym equipment. We continued to the Trail of Tears Memorial and on to the row club. It was fascinating... A great spot for locals and visitors alike to stroll and cycle along a beautiful setting. There has been quite a bit of resources put into making this a " go to" spot for playgrounds, live music and relaxation.

Great for jog or walk along the river. Walk or jog 1.5 miles or take the 3 mile route. There are a few places for a nice picnic lunch.

The Chattahoochee River is truly a Georgia gem. Wonderful for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and tubing. Many access points in the numerous Chattahoochee National Recreation areas that dot the river. Brown trout are abundant, partially because the natural population is supplemented in the warmer months by the DNR.

I think the Chattahoochee River is a wonderful river. Its also the only one near me. But its wet, flows downhill and I've never seen it freeze even though I have felt frozen when I've been on it sometimes. It has fish in it too! And turtles. I really can't say enough good things about this river. I suggest you... More

We attended the "Duck Derby" from the Keep Roswell Beautiful committee at the river. Ducks were 3 for $10 and the ducks were all dumped in the river and first duck to cross the line won a prize. It was a lot of fun and don't worry, all the ducks were removed from the river and saved for next year.... More

This would be an amazing place to have nearby for calming walks along varied terrain. The Canada Geese in the river entertained us as we walked on the level trail near the river. We then experienced a bit of a climb which would provide very different views in the winter after the leaves have fallen. We spent some time in... More
