I have been going to this state park for several years now. We always have a great time. The trails are clearly marked and well maintained. Never seen any large crowds and only occasionally passed other hikers while walking the trails. I have tent-camped at this park several times and also used the park to exit the river with my... We just went for the day and hiked on many of the trails. They were well marked and easy to walk. We took our 18 mo old and even he walked them easily. Nice facilities and playground

What a lovely location for a few days of R & R! Located on the Chattahoochee River and away from the bustle of town and traffic, one may read, hike, canoe,or visit Newman, Peachtree City, etc.

A very nice park HOWEVER your GPS will not take you to the park. The address of 425 Bobwhite Way is for an unused back gate of the park. It seems the officials don't realize that addresses are for a specific location. The back gate was 425 and was closed 10 years ago but they continued to use that address... More

The park is nice and new but needs some character. There is really not much to do. There s only one entrance to the river and is not easy to get to. There is also no place for fishing. Most of the sites do not have tree coverage so get ready to roast if you go during the summer.

We camped and kayaked here using a local outfitter. It's quiet and the bathrooms are clean. There is a very long entrance to get to the actual camping area. You are not near stores or restaurants, so make sure you bring plenty of food, though the office does have supplies and some food. There are trails to hike and a... More

This a fairly new state park, has a lot of acrea's however the camping areas are small, compared to other parks. The vistor center is nice and has any thing you forgot, all the park rangers are super nice and helpful. Bath house are kept good and clean. The park has the river to kayak or boat in, however no... We have taken our RV here and it is a fun camping area close to Newnan. Its great for nature lovers young and old but it is also remote and lacks restaurants and other places to visit nearby. You come here to be outdoor, on the river and enjoy nature to it's fullest. If you enjoy camping, cooking out, playing... More
