This Greek Revival mansion was built 1853 to 1855 by Benjamin Harvey Hill for his wife, Caroline Holt Hill. Senator Hill served in the Georgia Legislature, Confederate Congress, and U.S. House and Senate. One of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the state. The exterior features ionic columns across wide porticoes.Located in the heart of LaGrange, Georgia the mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.Open for ToursTuesday through Saturday10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.Closed Sunday, Monday, & holidays

Beautiful pre-civilwar mansion. Tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the home and the history of the time. Ample parking in a residential setting. Only about 10 miles of of I-85 in LaGrange GA.

Bellevue is breathtaking beautiful! So nice to see such a gorgeous antebellum mansion preserved in LaGrange. You can tell time and tender love is put into the home & grounds.

Bellevue is a gorgeous house in great shape since it's as old as the antebellum period. The tour guides are friendly and really know the place. Admission is also really cheap and worth the tour.

The mansion dates to the mid 1800's and is un an excellent state of preservation. Home of the Women's Club of LaGrange, it is open most days for visits with an informative tour. It can be rented for special events as well, with ample parking...More
