This Greek Revival mansion was built 1853 to 1855 by Benjamin Harvey Hill for his wife, Caroline Holt Hill. Senator Hill served in the Georgia Legislature, Confederate Congress, and U.S. House and Senate. One of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the state. The husband/wife team who conduct the tours are very friendly and knowledgable - learned a lot! Nothing in the house is roped off but no photos are allowed indoors. You need to allow about an hour and a half for your visit.

My Wife and I had a great time visiting this historic home. The live in tour guides were fantastic and really brought the home's history to life. We learned a lot about life in the Civil War Era in LaGrange Georgia. Definitely worth the visit.
