Although most of the dresses are replicas they are beautiful and worth the trip to see. There are some authentic clothing items and set pieces on display as well. A lot of movie history as well.

While visiting friends in Georgia, we went to Jonesboro and visited this small museum and I loved it. The ladies working there were a delight to talk to. We did do the bus tour and while interesting, I don't think it was worth the price.

Lived in the area for over 26 years and this was my first visit to the museum. What was I waiting for? Went with friends from out of state. They loved it.

Weekday is less crowded. Make sure you do the bus tour before going to the museum. Mitchell house is in Midtown Atlanta and everything is about 30 mins south of the city.

The bus tours take about an hour and fifteen minutes, but can take up to an hour and a half with an optional stop at Arts Clayton Gallery. The museum is self-guided, so that's at your own pace.
