If you are a student of Georgia history, these ruins are a must see. The area contains lots of historical sites and information about the prestigious Horton Family.

A great place to learn more of the history of the island and some of its early inhabitants. A nice area to park and walk among historic ruins and the bay side of the island.

There is a little grave spot with historical markers. Nice to just sit and enjoy the views. The Spanish history of the area is very interesting.

Both exhibits and staff rich with information & history of the Jekyll Island Club. Housed in what was (and still is) the stables gives the visitors glimpses into the colorful past.

As the heading says not much to see but a shell of a brick home. The best is to follow the trail for more history on the island.

Jekyll Island has an interesting history. The Horton House is a part of that history. You can drive or ride a bike here. Be sure to read the info on the plaques.
