We travel to this park with an annual pass. Recently, a co-worker told us to go down the road next to the Dollar General, which is still part of the park. You will find an old power plant that has parking-which is a good fishing spot. Go further down the road and there are areas to park and paths that... More

Went to High Falls for a day trip. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed watching people on the lake. Rode around camp area and it was not full but close. There were people in campers and tents and using the yurts. The little store is nice and the staff is great. I think this is a great place... More

Tent camping family of four. Arrived Thursday and left Sunday. Camped on river side. Lake side has the day use area that seemed to be very busy. Pros - best showers I've seen in a while - actual doors and no curtains. Large enough that we were actually able to dry off. Nice size, well maintained lots. Great park store... More

High Falls was the first State Park we visited when we moved to Georgia 20+ years ago, and it remains a csentimental favorite. Over the years it's seen it's highs and lows, but it's primary attribute is that it is easily reached from Middle Georgia whereas most of our favorite parks are in the north end of the state, too... Worth the short detour off 75. Was looking for some falls but didn't have the time to travel to the mountains.

We camped over the weekend on the river side. We tent camped and spots meant for rvs. We were told we could set up our tents in the grass, which was great! Bathrooms were clean and had soap. I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the falls are. On the falls trail, as well as the river side campground, there... More

This is a hidden gem. Not far from your trip on I-75 (couple miles at most) you can stretch your legs on beautiful trails and take in a ton of waterfalls within a couple hundred yards of your car. The park store is very reasonable and has supplies for most interest. Most are interested in bug spray and they have... More

Absolutely loved this place. We pulled up and you can see a waterfall from the gate and I thought " this is a waste of 5.00" until I crossed the street. We found it while driving to Atlanta and I decided to stop off to check it out. Living in a flat place like Florida the only time we see... More

We're returning home in our RV to Kentucky from Florida and stopped here after reading reviews. Easy to make reservations online. Love our pull-thru site so much we're staying an extra day! Hiking, waterfalls, geocaching, campfires...heaven!
