Overview
More
Quietly tucked away in the North Georgia mountains, sits a rare and special treasure. A botanical paradise fairly bursting with dogwoods, tulip magnolias, native azaleas, wild flowers, trillium, and of course, rhododendron. There are over 400 varieties of rhododendron - 3,000 plants in all. Welcome to the Hamilton Gardens, a truly enchanted spot, boasting the largest collection of rhododendron in the state of Georgia. Stroll tranquil pine bark trails as they wind through lush foliage. Drink in the stunning views of Lake Chatuge and breathtaking countryside, including the majestic rise of Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest peak.

The azaleas are breath taking and the walk through the park is joyful. Benches add to the joy of this wonderful park. There is a pavilion for family picnics and plenty of good parking.

Hamilton gardens is a very nice place to visit especially when the rhododendrons and azalea bushes are blooming. There is a very nice, short nature walk. Donations for continued beautification are always welcome.

Wife and I like to visit here and walk through the gardens. Well maintained and the trails are easy to navigate. If you enjoy a beautiful place to walk, this is it.
