The road is now paved all the way to the top. It is very steep and narrow and you may have to pull off some to let other vehicles pass. The view is breathtaking. The graffiti has been there way before the road was paved...More

I've been to the summit of bell mountain 3 times. Once before the road was paved (that was intense) and twice more recently. If it's not a cloudy/wet day, the drive up, which in and of itself isn't THAT bad as long as you keep...More

I believe you can see NC Tennessee and Georgia from the lookout. Windy narrow road but smooth and worth the trip. Don’t forget your camera.

The drive is a bit of a challenge, but the view, once you get to the top of the mountain, is breathtaking. You can see three states - Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. The view of the lake, the land and the mountains is spectacular.

Of course the graffiti is a turn off, but look the other way and there are simply some of the best views. We almost didn't go because of the graffiti, but we were so glad we did. It's nice for older people or those that...More

Careful that you don't miss the turn at the bottom of the mountain. Once you start up the road will change into a single lane. I was riding one of our motorcycles with the wife on the back and is is a fun ride to...More

Yes, the road is paved, all the way to the top. Your bikes will make up that hill for sure. Cars have even made up that mountain. Coming down, you will need to stay in 1st gear, and probably ride your brakes as well. There... More

I did not see hiking trails near Bell Mountain. It’s rocky terrain and you can park about 300’ from the top view. Going that last 300’ hiking up is strenuous. I had to stop several times along the way and I’m in good... More
