Great place to have a group picnic with covered shelters and many bathrooms. The visitor center and Okefenokee adventures are in this area making it easy to fill the day with many activities for all ages.

One of the best visitor centers for intersting displays, interactive dioramas, movies and other activities. While your there spend the time to visit the Chesser Island Homestead and walk the boardwalk to the viewing tower. Special events also take place sure as an Owl prowl.

This was my exposure to Spanish Moss and Cypress trees. To lessons about history not being what I imagined, and to beautiful nature. What a wonderful stop! Paula Atlanta, GA Blog: Americana the Beautiful www.americanathebeautiful.wordpress.com Twitter: @AmericanaBtiful
