Description:

These beautiful historic gardens and arboretum dating back to the late...

These beautiful historic gardens and arboretum dating back to the late 1700's are surrounded by over 1600 acres of countryside within the picturesque village of Upper Arley beside the river Severn. In addition to providing wonderful walks through the grounds there are walks along the banks of the river, all set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views.

Go back in time and watch the Severn Valley Railway trains steam across the hill from one of the magnificent signposted walks. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, a dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Birmingham, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Worcester, the Malverns and Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for individuals and groups alike.

The estate offers plenty to do for all ages from the Italian garden with its fountain for the adults, to the dinosaur and fairy trails and maze for the young ones. Arley Estate and Arboretum also provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership.

There is more to Arley Estate and Arboretum than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming.

Furthermore, there is a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Arley Arboretum and Garden and thank you for taking time to look at our Trip Advisor page.

I took 2 of my Grandchildren to see Father Christmas. First of all it was very reasonably priced. We had at least 20 mins with the big man and he was so lovely with the children, especially my granddaughter who was very shy. It was a memorable experience.

We have visited the arboretum this weekend so our toddler could visit Santa, we walked around the gardens and completed the festive trail before our visit with Santa. The grounds are beautiful with lovely views of the local area Including the Severn valley, and our child loved completing the festive trail. Santa was equally as good! Probably the best Santa... We visited Arley on Sunday with our children and friends to see Santa. The gardens were stunning and they were decorated beautifully for the children to enjoy too. Before the kids went to see Santa they did a fun Snowman trail through the gardens, the views were lovely of the river and the whole place is so beautiful. After our... More

We went here recently with friends for the kids to visit Santa. Whilst santa was really jolly and attentive the other staff were dire. They were apathetic and totally disinterested, with no hoho just will you lot gogo. The staff in the cafe were equally looking bored with zero interest in the customers. To add insult to injury we all... More

Visited on a lovely autumn day, there are various walks through the gardens, long or short, we had our 3 year old grandson with us so took the shorter route. We spent o good couple of hours playing hide and seek and walking around the beautiful gardens, the colours especially pretty at this time of year. We decided to have... More

This was our first visit to the arboretum and it was a delight. The colours this time of year were unparalleled many vivid reds along with the oranges. Only downside is that we waited at 12.00 and 13.30 for the fountain to come on - and nothing happened. Dogs are welcome and there are plenty of bins in strategic places.

Sorry to hear the Fountain wasn't working properly on the day of your visit, there was a small technical fault on the pump system that day that has now been rectified. We try to visit Arley every autumn and this year the trees seem extra spectacular. Although a fairly cloudy day the leaves on the trees glowed with wonderful colour. After a couple of hours walk through the arboretum had a refreshing cuppa and excellent fresh chocolate cake in the tearoom Afterwards walked through the churchyard and the village to the... More

We visited this arboretum 5 years ago and were disappointed to note the deterioration. There was much litter throughout the arboretum with rubbish bins overflowing. Photos of trees have required items of rubbish to be edited out! The cafe smelled of burnt cooking oil which we had plenty of time to notice due to the extensively long queues and utterly... More

We would firstly like to thank you for letting us know about your experience when you came to visit us.
