While historical, the 2nd floor courtroom is a great event space. Some of the back rooms where things are stored are definitely due for an update; however, the staff was helpful and the space was a great blank space to transform.

Local gem and there is a free kinda mini-museum inside in the first floor that you can get around in in 10-15minutes.

Celebrated a wedding here and found the place to be charming! The stairs were a bit difficult for the elderly, but otherwise it was fine. Unfortunately the only elevator was out of service, at least for the beginning. Towards the end they got it working again. We had the service upstairs, went to the main level for drinks, while they... More

We enjoyed this walk that begins at the Dekalb County Courthouse. You learn a lot about what times were like before during and after the Civil War and are provided with information if you want to learn more. I was impressed it's staffed by volunteers and the one we had was very knowledgeable, friendly and we had a good group... More

What a lovely building that citizens in the 60s had the foresight to save! The old courthouse now holds the DeKalb County Historical soviet. It currently has three exhibits, a permanent and moving exhibit on the American Civil war, a decorative arts area featuring local craftsmen and pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries. It also features an exhibit on... More

I recently enjoyed the "American Bungalow" exhibit at the courthouse. I was impressed by the quality of the small museum on the ground floor of the courthouse.

I attended a family wedding on the upper floor which surprisingly for all the marble wall and flooring the acoustics were very good. However, the main entrance which was the reception area which had very poor acoustics making conversations difficult. There are a few historical markers on the grounds describing Civil War battles in the area, a large stone example of...
