My family and I have enjoyed hiking/walking at this state park for years. It is so nice to take a walk and sit my the creek where there isn't a large crowd. One of the areas best kept secrets!

We don't live very far from here, but had never visited until this last weekend. We wanted to do a quick hike and figured this would be a great place to do it. The only kicker is that to get to the trails you have...More

Pickett Mill trails are a great work out while learning about Civil War History! The museum is small but very informative and gives you the overview of what happened during the battle of Pickett Mills. There is a fee to use the trails which is...More

If you enjoy a nice gentle hike in the woods, you will like this trail. No strenuous mountains. No great waterfalls. But very pleasant. We didn't spend much time in the museum part but it looked good.

Robert Duvall "Get Low" was filmed here. This area also is a battlefield historic site. Beautiful untouched country. Wonderful to walk the grounds and get losted in another time.

Lots of history; easily seen in a few short hours; great walking paths. Best seen after a study of the battle... but most parks are better that way. Have fun!

Touted as the most-preserved battlefield in the United States, walking through this park is a great experience. See where U.S. Gen. Sherman's army, having left the railway, swinging westward, heading toward Atlanta, encountered Irish-born Confederate Gen. Patrick Cleburne's troops in the middle of the woods,...More

Took 7 year old grandson and his mom one afternoon just to check it out. We did have a good time. Fun to think back to the past and educate little boy. Had a video and rangers to answer historical questions.

The park is the sight of a relatively minor civil war battle. There is a small visitor center and there is a fee to enter. A 15 minute film is available but we were late getting there so didnt get to see it. The site...More

It is only open to the public three days a week, Thursday-Saturday. The film in the visitor center was informative and the small museum as well. Both explain the battle well. It also contains a small gift area. The Boy Scouts have done a good...More
