This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. A fun hike that is a workout but not too difficult. Take time to sit in the Indian Seats and enjoy the view.

We have done this hike as a family many times. The view from the top of the mountain is beautiful. It basically makes a loop as a large one way trail. I always see a lot of people running the route. It's a nice way to spend a couple hours with the kids.

It is an easy to moderate trail. Well maintained. The visitor center is very nice and the employees are very helpful. Nice views from the top. A five mile hike and you could take alternate trails to explore more.

This is a fun hike to the Indian Seats which are at the top of the mountain and give a great view of the north end of Forsyth County and the Appalachian Mountains in the distance. Their is a short trail you can walk or a longer one which can take a couple of hours. Be sure to look at... More

Sawnee Mountain is located in Cumming. When we arrived at the park, little did we kno we took the easy short hike to the top, it only took us like ten minutes to get on top. I am glad we came early because although there were people there, it was not packed, the weather was beautiful. We're Asians, we wanted... More

A great place to hike I enjoy going up to Indian Seats most of the hike is in the shade. The view at top is awesome. Not to strenuous and the kids enjoyed it also.

I enjoy visiting this mountain and hiking the trails. The trails can be a little challenging for the younger children because of tree roots and rocks in the path but it is definitely doable. It's also a great place for a peaceful picnic. The playground is great and restrooms are clean.

The steepness of the trails isn't too challenging, but the rocks and roots on it are. You have to constantly look down as you walk to avoid tripping. Very uneven in many places. Take a walking stick if you can. We'll worth the walk to the top for the views for fifty miles. Take food and drink, a book or... More

Me and my eight year old son hiked the newer side if Sawnee Mountain today, it was a beautiful day and an excellent hike! I grew up not 2 miles from the mountain so it brings me back to my childhood of playing and riding four wheelers in my backyard! Picnic followed our hike and my son played on the... More
