We took our Girl Scout Troop on the ferry to Cumberland Island, partly because the ferry and island would be cool but also because we had several girls that love horses. It was very neat to see the horses in the distance from the ferry....More

This Island is a gem! I’d like to come back to spend a day on the beach or camp overnight. We did the tour which took all day!

My daughter, grandchildren (ages 2, 5, and 7) journeyed here to enjoy the seashore. We went on a trail counter clockwise around the island, saving the seashore until afternoon. Since there are wild horses here (we didn't see any) there is there evidence along the...More

Came here for the Easter weekend to enjoy the spring of the south. We did a full day trip securing a private boat owner to bring us over and thank goodness for that. The ferry books weeks in advance so plan accordingly. Bring good walking...More

They allow some bikes on the ferry, but space is limited and is first come, first served. I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We got ours about 3 weeks early for spring break.
