If you have been to Oxbow years ago and haven't been since, you need to go back. The new building is amazing and so is the canopy walk where you walk in the air on a suspended bridge from treetop to treetop. You can view the Eagle and her nest as she lives on the edge of the Chattahoochee River.... More

Oxbow Meadows is a very laid-back environmental center. We sent our children through the homeschool science classes, and they loved it! They also do little activities at times on the weekend. The center is not that large, but the children enjoy it. Outside are picnic tables and bike riding/walking trails. A great way to spend an afternoon while learning about... More

We were all disappointed when we found out the trails are only open on Saturday but they did have some interesting exhibits otherwise. Younger kids would probably enjoy more. Good budget friendly trip though.

Awesome afternoon of fun for families! Reptile exhibits, alligators and an encased see through working bee hive. So much to see and all on a donation basis, very budget friendly. The staff there are also very informative and welcoming!

Oxbow Meadows is a very small facility. However the staff there are usually very nice. They do different exhibits with animals from reptiles to birds of prey. It is a nice afternoon activity.

Located behind the National Infantry Museum, Oxbow offers environmental education in a fun and entertaining way. During the summer they offer camps for children, but they are open to walk-ins any time. You can spot the alligator in the pond, check out the giant tortoise, and find the Queen bee. Check their schedule for tortoise feedings, crafts, and shows about... More

Cute little science and environment centre with suggested donation for entry that no one seems to pay. Lots of local fauna including live snakes and a MASSIVE python. Good time.
