Situated near to Batam ferry terminal. Big laughing Buddha temples which have many Maitreya Laughing Buddha figurines inside the compound. They also cater vegetarian food at the temple restaurant and a souvenir shop.

The temple is really big! Besides those big Buddha statues in the halls, there are also smaller statues around the temple. Recommend all to visit this temple, no matter whether you are a Buddhist or not. Once finished with the touring, you can proceed to eat the vegetarian food there. The food is nice, they charge by the number of... More

Almost in every corner of the building found the statue of Buddha Maitreya that has a high width posture, dense ears and belly fat, innocent personality and always laugh. Once seen, felt a warm welcoming feel of life, it looks Maitreya said: Welcome to the loving world. He led all humann into a new world, life with peace and happiness.

The temple is really huge and clean. You get the peaceful feel while chanting your prayers. The wide selection of vegetarian dishes and vegetarian paus were really good. I was especially impressed by the vegetarian rendang. It taste as good as the meat rendang.

This is part of the itenary for the 1 day short getaway with tour agency. The temple is huge and many buddist devoties come and pray. Nothing much to see but can do some donAtions to maintain the temple upkeeping and candid photo taking on the main foryer with the 12 Chinese alamac.

I was here only to get some Veg food, as for vegetarians not much is available in the city. Was surprised to see the variety of food the temple offers. Not sure if it was some special day or is it the same scene everyday. Not just the restaurant that had around 20-25 stalls offering different meal sets, plus an... More
