This is the REAL Florida- trails that meander through uplands pine, hammock oaks, along isolated swamp, and hugging the sparse river - for this time of year. Visited with a family of white- tailed deer, chattering scrub jays, and an elusive bobcat. I saw one...More

We visited on a Saturday morning and found the park nearly empty, so we had a nice quiet time hiking and enjoying the scenery. We've had a lot of rain recently and that meant some trails, including part of the Oxbow Nature Trail, were under...More

Although there is a not a lot to do at this park, the campground is very serene and sites are private. They only have 30 sites that offer partial shade at times. They have kayak and canoe rentals for $15 for half a day -...More

We took a nice 4 mile hike along the river. The trail was well maintained, the river was pretty, and we saw some interesting wildlife. One animal we saw up close was an armadillo. He was browsing under some trees right near the trail. Also...More

State parks are awesome places to camp and have fun. Staying here a week. Lots to do in the surrounding area.

Lovely true old Florida. Many activities to take in the untouched Florida vegetation. You can also bring your own horse and ride inside the park. Wonderful for an outside activity far from phones, noises, cars. Great for family trip, son-father time, friends, couples.

We enjoyed visiting and camping at this small state park. It was very nice to be able to rent a canoe right by the river rather than lug ours down to the river...it would have been quite a long walk. It was a very nice...More

It's just ok. It's water & electric only. We had 50 amp hookup, but I don't believer there are any full hook ups available. The campsites aren't anywhere near the river access. The campsites were roomy. We drove down to... More

Yes there were rentals when we stayed there. You can rent them for 4 hours and they need to be returned by 4:30. Bike rentals as well.
