Was impressed, ice, firewood and we came in at 8pm. They have a kayak rentals but be advised it's a long walk to the launch in soft sand. Nice sites with water and electric.

We visited the south side of the park and walked along the trails. The trails and facilities are in excellent condition. The scenery is beautiful. It is a nice peaceful getaway from the busyness of the nearby cities.

This review is about the six-mile long trail at Little Manatee River State Park. I understand there's a campground and picnic area, but the only other activity we did was visit the bathroom before hiking. Hiking opportunities in Clearwater are few and far between, so...More

We spent 2 nights here camping on Site 19. The park is kept very clean, and being only 30 sites (plus 4 or so horse sites), it is quiet almost all the time. Book early as sites are tough to get. Each site has good...More

We ventured to Little Manatee River State Park in January. If you want to "get away from it all," this is your place. It's only 30-site campground and one of the quietest we'd ever stayed in. We especially liked our Site #23. We did one...More

North side of park has a 6.5 mile trail, with a cross link so you can just do about 3 miles. Trail build by the same people who do the Florida Trail (from Miami to Pensacola). Main park has camping (RV/Tent), restrooms and playground. 15...More

This is the REAL Florida- trails that meander through uplands pine, hammock oaks, along isolated swamp, and hugging the sparse river - for this time of year. Visited with a family of white- tailed deer, chattering scrub jays, and an elusive bobcat. I saw one...More

Yes there were rentals when we stayed there. You can rent them for 4 hours and they need to be returned by 4:30. Bike rentals as well.
