Was an excellent to watch fishermen/women. Watching birds was exciting with a variety of kinds of birds. Watching boaters was also fun.

Wow, believe it or not this pier is free! It's free for the walker and for the individual who is fishing! There is a nice bait shop on the pier. Plenty of parking and the parking is free. The pier has fish cleaning areas with...More

This is a typical fishing pier that was quite busy on the day we visited. It was interesting to walk to the end and watch the people fishing but that was about it. I suppose that, if you fish, it might have been more interesting.

Wonderful facility but a little too invaded with people who appear to live there. It's worth visiting once in a while.

The setting is classic. The long, wide pier extending due west out into the Gulf of Mexico. People fishing with their lines dangling far below the walkway. Others simply strolling for the pleasure of it, perhaps after having had dinner at Sharkeys Restaurant near the...More

If you like to watch people fishing, cleaning their catch & hungry seagulls waiting for leftovers, you might enjoy this.

A bit stuffy if you know what I mean--head on over to the North Jetty across the way. There you will feel welcome, down to earth and in the company of friends. I have heard people say that the North Jetty is a bit rough...More

You are able to rent gear on the pier but depending on how much fishing/how many days/people you may want to bring your own. I also felt like bait prices were a bit high.
