Came here both early sunrise and sunset. Usually early fisherman here catching catfish, sheepshead, even small sharks. Great views up and down the beach from the pier, as well as sunset!

One of the best places to take a walk and spend some time just enjoying the sights and sounds of the Gulf. Early morning is usually quiet and you can often see dolphin, pelicans, gulls and other birds as well as fish jumping and swimming...More

You are able to rent gear on the pier but depending on how much fishing/how many days/people you may want to bring your own. I also felt like bait prices were a bit high.
