Only $10 for a 40 min demonstration about the sponge diving and harvesting business. We found it worthwhile and was fascinated watching the diver put on over 170 lbs of gear.

Took our grand children on this tour and they loved it. Captain, emcee and mate were incredibly friendly and interacted with the children much of the time. Boat was aged but attractively painted, clean and well maintained. Trip down the Anclote River only took about...More

This was a very enjoyable trip, very informational about the area of Tarpon Springs, and sponge diving. It is less than an hour, but the price is very reasonable.

We saw the other reviews on trip advisor and wanted to try this little boat ride. The price was right at $10 a person, and the little white and orange boat fit right in with the Greek look and feel of Tarpon Springs. The older...More

This short boat trip was one of the best parts of our trip. The guide, captain, and others on the boat were very interesting and educational, we got to watch a guy dive in an old-fashioned sponge-diving suit and bring up a freshly harvested sponge,...More

When we have visitors on our vacation, I always take them on this mini "educational" boat trip. A bit hokey, but don't forget to take a photo with the diver and have him autograph your $1. Pack of postcards! Good to get out on the...More

There were so many boat tours available but I think this is the only one that has a diver demonstration. We really enjoyed it- learning about the different sponges and the history of the sponge docks, and then watching the diver go in the water....More

Forty-minute boat tour of Tarpon Springs harbor. Diver in full regalia goes underwater to demonstrate how sponges were harvested. Good background of industry and area. Friendly crew. Diver poses for pictures and autographed picture postcard.

Same for us we saw a stand, but there was more than one tour. This one was part of the state parks. We also took the short trip about 45 minutes. There was a longer trip if you were interested.
