Brought out-of-town guests on a Spongeorama Cruise this past week. As always, they found dolphins for us to see on our way to and from Anclote Key Preserve. Our Captains were great. The cruise is very enjoyable, especially on a hot day. Beautiful sights to see along the way. I've taken many trips with them over the years. They always... More

The price was right. Ate at the restaurant Yianni's before going out, check for that review. Beautiful day for the cruise. We went to an island and were able to swim or look for shells. We found some pretty shells. Didn't see any dolphins which was disappointing. Went to the sponge museum afterwards and learned all about the sponging industry... More

This is typical of souvenir shops located in tourist areas. The prices are higher then nearby shops but they offset this by offering coupons if you book a cruise with them. Typical of this type of shop, the majority of souvenirs are imported. They do offer a movie about the collection and processing of natural sponges.

Definitely a required stop while in Tarpon Springs! Yes, it's a souvenir shop, but you'll learn a lot about the sponge diving history of the area while you're here.

Expensive. But get the free 20 percent off coupons and you'll pay the same as other places on the strip.

This is just a store selling Tarpon Stings stuff, especially sponges. It is interesting, but really it is just one of many.
